Technical Assistance

The East Texas STEM Center provides individual schools, school districts, and institutions of higher education  with customized services. Our services span professional development programs for preK–12 teachers, counselors, and administrators, technical support to district and school-site leaders and capacity-building assistance, resource development, and evaluation and research of programs and practices.

In addition to our work with school districts, the center supports the capacity- and network-building activities for a variety of large-scale national and state projects, as well as district- and school-based projects:

  • Organizing and facilitating conferences and symposia
  • Developing Web-based resources and written materials such as articles, newsletters, and monographs
  • Providing research and analytic support
  • Working with advisory groups and issue-focused working groups
  • Working with public schools and institutions of higher education to address vertical curriculum alignment and college readiness
  • Development of grant proposals
  • Development of online and distance programs to serve rural schools
