ETXSC College Readiness  Symposium: Vertically Aligning  K-12 STEM with Postsecondary
The College Readiness Symposium is designed for teachers, school administrators, counselors, community college and university faculty, school-board members, policymakers, parents, and the business community. The symposium will provide information on the Texas College Readiness Standards, P-16 Activities, Vertical Alignment activities underway at the ETXSC, and provide research synopsis, tools, and strategies for preparing children to be college ready upon graduation from high school. 

Key components of the symposium include:
•An in-depth analysis of what is taught in high school and college so participants can examine content and practice. (SEC data)
•An in-depth analysis and discussion of student achievement data and the relationship to teacher pedagogical content knowledge
•Needs of the workforce
•Development of a school action plan.
